Location: Wausau WI area
Salary Range: $65000 To $90000 (Depending On Experience) + 10% Bonus
Relocation offered, prefer someone from 5 nearby states of WI

Company is looking for someone with a very strong ENVIRONMENTAL background as their waste water concerns are elevated.

Analyze and interpret Environmental, Health and Safety regulatory policy impacts through written information, interface with government officials, and technical knowledge of plant operations. Sound knowledge of federal, state, and local legal requirements is prerequisite to developing and managing effective EHS compliance management systems.
Anticipate, prepare, and submit required regulatory filings to federal, state and local government agencies based on knowledge of requirements and technical data involved. Accurate and timely completion and submittal of the varied forms and reports is necessary to prevent potentially severe penalties against the Cooperative under multiple laws.
Play a leadership role in designing and implementing EHS programs, compliance strategies, and sustainable management systems through effective communication/planning with plant management and employees, including ongoing dialogue, coaching, and reinforcement as needed. These roles will frequently be corporate-assigned and will have relevance across all or many of company locations. Effective and sustainable systems for assuring compliance with applicable EHS laws are critical for preventing potentially severe penalties (civil and criminal) for non-compliance and for preventing harm to humans and the environment. This role emphasizes establishing systems and processes of a corporate-wide significance as well as facility specific.
Manage internal compliance assurance activity to be certain of facility adherence to EHS legal requirements, through audits and identifying and overseeing needed corrective action steps. This will also involve participation in corporate auditing of other locations. Managing EHS risk requires regular self-assessments of management systems in order to make needed corrections thereby minimizing threats to humans and the environment and risks of civil and criminal penalties against company.
Other responsibilities as assigned by facility management and corporate EHS leadership, e.g. project or personnel management -- related initiatives; special assignments of varying duration; operational roles; etc. EHS Managers need to respond to potential project management assignments affecting EHS interest directly or indirectly and/or non-EHS technical or administrative supporting roles involving production and people management depending on facility and corporate-wide needs and priorities.

Requires a Bachelors Degree in Science or Engineering.
8-10 years EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of EHS requirements including wastewater and safety.
Knowledge of regularity compliance (i.e. EPA, OSHA, DNR).
Project management.
